I have a 551 (Costco version of 550) and when you call irobot there is a prompt to push #4 if bought at Costco. Every few months I call them and they send out a new chm or battery depending on which is acting up. This time they are also sending an osmo to update software which according to their records is not the latest.

I've read of osmo update in the past but my 551 is only 9 months old (or at least bought 9 months ago). They are very quick to send new parts without question (obviously very familiar with the problems we are having).

Received the osmo along with a new aps battery. Updated the software with the osmo which says it maximizes battery usage as well as adds voice commands to the error codes. I have no idea if this means anything to anyone but today I called irobot and told them the battery still seemed to not last as long and they said they would be glad to send a new unit out immediately, no questions asked. I guess until they fix this chm issue I will just stock pile some warranty replacements and various parts. At Costco the 551 is $270.00 and and the customer service has been exceptional.
