It was a late PS2 game from NIS, with similar graphics to the Disgaea series. It is traditional grid style turn based, but it's similar to Ogre Battle 64 in that each unit on the map is actually a squad of units. Squads are made up of generic and unique units, whose moveset changes depending on their location on the 3x3 grid that makes up your squad. So an archer may only attack once on the front row, but 3 times if placed in the back.
